The Paris American Academy (PAA) in Paris, one of France's most established international colleges for the studies of fine arts and design offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion. Through our exclusive relationship and transfer of study credits, IFTC graduates have the capability of obtaining a degree in fashion studies after one and a half years of study at the PAA (18 months).

The IFTC programme is unique enough and accessed at levels that are on par with international standards to warrant this recognition by PAA. Only IFTC graduates have the opportunity to obtain a full degree in fashion through this unique twinning programme in only 18 months. The Bachelor of Fine Arts programme itself would normally take 3 years of study.

Did you know that IFTC was one of the first Malaysian local education institutions to offer associate or extension courses to a foreign education institution? IFTC holds this testament due to the foresight of the principal herself who realised that the full breadth and scope of any teaching programme has to be accompanied by true working experiences in the business itself. This was when in 1986, Mrs. Wong spent months in Paris evaluating and presenting her credentials to many reputable fashion schools and universities in Paris to look for a possible school to collaborate with.

After very careful deliberation and research, our current partner, The Paris American Academy was evaluated by Mrs. Wong to be the most appropriate in terms of programme compatibility and of course the medium of teaching which is English. The late founder, Mr. Richard Roy also recognised IFTC’s unique curriculum and distinguished teaching style that he sealed the link between the 2 schools almost immediately. Besides fashion programmes, The PAA is a recognised school for the study of art and architecture in France and has a blend of numerous international students building on the culmination of different cultures and society in its environment.

This unique link between IFTC and PAA is special as it is the first of its kind in this region and the PAA qualification is recognised throughout Europe and the USA. IFTC students upon completion of their professional diplomas can apply to The PAA to further their studies and obtain a degree in fashion.
